Is it freezing over there, too? I’m in a full on tea-and-blanket mode. Obviously what fits to that picture is a plate of cookies. This time I went with a slightly modified classic. These gingersnaps are full of flavor, which is further enhanced by browned butter. I also added more spices than the original recipe called for, and I reduced the amount of sugar, because of course I did. Continue reading

Hi. My days in Hanoi are coming to an end, which feels bittersweet. I love Vietnam, Hanoi is an amazing city, and teaching here has been a privilege, but I also miss home terribly. You may have noticed that I love to come up with recipes where you don’t need a lot of ingredients. It seems like if you can throw a recipe together from whatever you have laying around in your pantry, that’s the one I would go for.
