Giant Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie

Sometimes you don’t feel like baking a whole batch of cookies, but you still need a fix of chocolate.

Sometimes you want to watch the new episode of Game of Thrones and you know that one of your favorite characters is about to die, so this need is even stronger.

Cue one giant, double chocolate peanut butter cookie.

This recipe was inspired by the chocolate cookie from Sally’s Baking Addiction, who is pretty much a genius.

However my version contains peanut butter, I substituted some of the sugar for honey and almost doubled the amount of chocolate, because who are we kidding here. Prince Oberyn was about to die, half measures were not going to cut it.

Giant Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (or any other additions. Go crazy.)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl whisk together butter and peanut butter.
  3. Add sugar, honey and egg yolk, mix until smooth.
  4. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and mix.
  5. Form one giant cookie and place the dough on the greased (or lined with parchment paper) baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until firm.

Składniki:

  • 2 łyżki miękkiego masła
  • 1 łyżka masła orzechowego
  • 2 łyżki brązowego cukru
  • 1 łyżka miodu
  • 1 żółtko
  • ¼ szklanki mąki
  • 2 łyżki kakao
  • ½ łyżeczki sody oczyszczonej
  • ¼ łyżeczki soli
  • 100 gram pokrojonej czekolady (lub jakichkolwiek innych dodatków – w moim ciastku są pokrojone Michałki)

Przygotowanie:

  1. Rozgrzej piekarnik do 170°C.
  2. W misce wymieszaj masło i masło orzechowe.
  3. Dodaj cukier, miód, żółtko, i wymieszaj aż masa zrobi się gładka.
  4. Dodaj mąkę, kakao, sodę oczyszczoną, i sól. Dodaj czekoladę i znowu wymieszaj.
  5. Uformuj jedno duże ciastko i połóż je na natłuszczonej (lub wyłożonej papierem do pieczenia) foremce i wsadź do piekarnika na 12-14 minut, aż ciastko całkiem się upiecze.
