Not gonna lie, I am very excited.

My best friend and I are leaving for Scotland on Saturday. We’re going to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, seeing one of my favorite bands (again), and we’re generally going to have a blast. That’s the extent of our plans. Continue reading

Thumbprint Cookies

I love brownies, chocolate chip cookies, basically all kinds of chocolate-related sweets. However, my all time favorite cookie is a simple thumbprint cookie filled with jam. Sometimes I fill it with peanut butter. Or Nutella. But the ones with jam are.. My jam. Continue reading

How is your January going so far? Mine’s been pretty busy. I got a new job (yay!) and I spent the last couple of days taking care of all the formalities before I get to start working. Fortunately I did have time to meet with my friends a couple of times. I made these cookies for one of such occasions, when I promised a friend I would bake him something. Continue reading

I also added more spices than the original recipe called for, and I reduced the amount of sugar, because of course I did. Continue reading

You may have noticed that I love to come up with recipes where you don’t need a lot of ingredients. It seems like if you can throw a recipe together from whatever you have laying around in your pantry, that’s the one I would go for.

Except that doesn’t always work for everybody. Yeah, put that mayo away. Relax. Maybe follow a recipe for a change. Continue reading

Chocolate Honey Cookies

Hanoi is crazy. It’s been 10 days since I moved, so I’m still very new and I guess it’s normal I feel this way, but seriously. Crazy. I rented out a motorbike 2 days ago, so I can finally ride around by myself, although I’m a bit afraid of doing so. Nobody out on the road here seems to care about any laws, which makes learning how to belong in the traffic even harder. But I taught a few more classes, and I went to another party yesterday. I guess I’m starting to belong. One of my biggest concerns is the lack of the oven of course (that party I went to yesterday? My friends have an amazing one, so I spent a better part of an hour falling in love with their oven). I still have some saved recipes though, so today I’d like to share a recipe for THE BEST chocolate-honey cookies to ever exist.
