Nutella Peanut Butter Mug Cake


This mug cake is like an instant antidepressant made of Nutella and peanut butter. You have to study? That guy you met yesterday didn’t call? You are about to graduate and have no idea what to do with your life (or is it just me)? All of these can be answered with this mug cake.


Depending on for how long you put it in a microwave, it can either be gooey and brownie-like, or it can be more of a cake.

Personally, I always go for the gooey.


Just a heads up, you are going to need a really big mug. Using a regular-sized one will probably result in the cake overflowing and it will be a mess.

Nutella Peanut Butter Mug Cake


  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 ½ tablespoon oil
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter


  1. In a (very) big mug, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add the egg, milk, and oil and whisk the ingredients together. Add Nutella, and once incorporated, lightly mix in the peanut butter.
  2. Microwave on high for 90 seconds. Take it out, check out the consistency, stir if you like and if you prefer it less gooey, return to microwave for another 30 seconds. Mine was in a microwave for 120 seconds in total.


  • 4 łyżki mąki
  • 2 łyżki cukru
  • ¼ łyżeczki proszku do pieczenia
  • 1 jajko
  • 2 łyżki mleka
  • 1 ½ łyżki oleju
  • 3 łyżki Nutelli
  • 1 łyżka masła orzechowego


  1. W (bardzo) dużym kubku wymieszaj mąkę, cukier, i proszek do pieczenia. Dodaj jajko, mleko, i olej i wymieszaj. Dodaj Nutellę, a gdy połączysz ją z pozostałymi składnikami, delikatnie wmieszaj masło orzechowe.
  2. Umieść w mikrofalówce ustawionej na wysoką temperaturę na 90 sekund. Wyjmuj kubek, sprawdź konsystencję, wymieszaj i, jeśli wolisz by ciasto mniej przypominało brownie i było bardziej suche, wsadź do mikrofalówki jeszcze na 30 sekund. Moje ciasto piekło się razem przez 2 minuty.
